Annual General Meeting of the FGTA Thursday March 26 7 pm at Georgian House Restaurant, 148 Main St., Alexandria Ontario

Dear Subscribers and Members,

This is your official notice by newsletter of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the FGTA.  You are cordially invited to attend. We invite you to consider being on the Board of Directors of this vital community organization that develops, maintains and promotes our safe public trails system for outdoor walking, biking, and skiing trails in the Alexandria area.

Please consider this opportunity to make a difference in your community by serving as a board member.  Being on the Board of Directors contributes to the broader community in so many ways, making possible a safe, public trail system near Alexandria, that supports outdoor recreation, tourism, environmental education, nature connection and natural heritage in our local area.  Contact Helena at helenamccuaig@sympatico.ca for more informtion.

On the AGM agenda will be a Report on the New Boardwalk at the Lochiel Street Entrance, Report on the StoryWalk Project, Annual Financial Report and the annual election of Board of Directors. (Several positions are open for 1 year and 2 year terms.)   The program for the meeting will include a 30 minute presentation on Trails of Cuba in addition to the Annual General Meeting.

Members may vote at the AGM, join committees and stand for election as board members. To become a member before the AGM or to renew your membership, please see our Membership Page at glengarrytrails.ca  for the membership form to print or to sign up with PayPal online.  Individual memberships are $20 per year and family memberships are $30 per year.  If you wish to join or renew through a personal connection, please contact Heinz at 613-525-2219 at the Georgian House in Alexandria.  To check if your membership is up to date, please contact  Karen Paavila at karenpaavila@gmail.com.

Member support is necessary for the continued operation of the Glengarry Trails.  We value your support.  Guests are welcome to this event. Please encourage friends, family, neighbors and others to take part - by becoming members,  making donations, joining the Board of Directors or Committees for special projects, general maintenance, outreach etc - to keep these wonderful trails a vibrant attraction in our community.
